With Kell Hall out of the way, construction crews are nearing completion on the first phase of the greenway, which will become Georgia State's signature gathering space at the center of the Atlanta Campus.

University Will honor Women who Sued to Desegregate

On Feb. 20, Georgia State will honor three African American women who sued for their right to attend the university in the 1950s. Myra Payne Elliott, Barbara Pace Hunt and Iris Mae Welch sued in 1956 for their right to attend Georgia State — the first federal court victory against segregated education in Georgia.
