Dear Ms. Rossie,   I will fulfill a lifelong dream next spring when I become the first person in my family to graduate from college. Getting to this point—on track to graduate—was, at one pivotal moment, a close call.   Before I enrolled for my first semester, the university’s chatbot, “Pounce,” notified me that my scholarship—which covers most of my tuition—had not yet been received. This prompted me to track down the issue with Student Financial Services where we discovered that one digit of my Social Security number was incorrect. Once corrected, my scholarship was applied and I was able to enroll as planned.   It’s impossible to know how different the last few years would have been for me if it weren’t for Pounce, the chatbot. I know that without my scholarship I wouldn’t have started at Georgia State that fall. I hadn’t taken out loans and my mother didn’t have the extra money to pay my tuition.   So, thank you. I’m incredibly grateful for the generosity of Georgia State alumni and friends like you.
