It’s been a record-breaking year for Georgia State, and we continued our rise as one of America’s most highly regarded universities. We reached important milestones for fundraising and research funding and we set records for enrollment, the size of our freshman class and the number of students graduating. And our reputation continued to grow. Academic leaders across the country identified us as the No. 2 most innovative university in the country in U.S. News & World Report, up from No. 4 in previous years, and we moved from No. 8 to No. 2 in the magazine’s reputational ranking for commitment to undergraduate teaching. We have firmly established ourselves as THE national leader in introducing creative new programs and methods to foster student success, and the New York Times confirmed that in a major feature story on us last May.
