Dear Georgia State community, Few, if any, colleges or universities can match the rapid trajectory Georgia State is on. Each year it seems like we set records in admissions, graduation rates, fundraising and research. This year was no different. We had another record number of applications for admission and welcomed our largest freshman class and the largest student body in our history, surpassing 53,000 for the first time. For the second straight year, academic leaders across the country identified us as the No. 2 most innovative university in the country in U.S. News & World Report, up from No. 4 in previous years. And this year we were recognized as No. 1 in the nation among public universities for our commitment to undergraduate teaching. We again built on our reputation as THE national leader in introducing creative new programs and methods to foster student success. What a year, and there’s so much more to come. TheStateWay is not simply our motto. It is a promise. TheStateWay is a commitment to lead and innovate in finding new ways to serve students on our campuses and to be a driving force and model for improvements at colleges and universities across the nation and the world.
