A Georgia State researcher is studying dogs’ brains to find out why certain breeds have specific talents, and how years of selective breeding have affected behavior and personality. Read about how Mary Ellen O’Connor, an assistant professor at the Clarkston Campus, and Dr. Heval Kelli (B.A. '08), a Syrian Kurd and one-time refugee, have teamed up to help young refugees navigate the daunting task of getting into college in a new country. And meet Maurice Hobson, a historian and associate professor of African-American Studies.
